From Canazei, I tackle Passo Sella first—its jagged limestone peaks glowing in the morning sun—then descend to Plan de Gralba and climb to Passo Gardena, where green pastures and sheer cliffs dominate the view. After a stunning descent into Corvara and a quick roll into La Villa, I aim for Passo Valparola, but unfortunately the road is closed to cyclists that day. No worries—plans change, the legs keep spinning. I backtrack to Corvara and rejoin the classic clockwise Sellaronda route. Climbing Passo Campolongo, I find my rhythm again, and from Arabba, the legendary ascent to Passo Pordoi begins. Though fatigue sets in, the beauty of the Dolomites combined with the satisfaction of a big day on the bike makes every switchback worth it. Finally, I descend back to Canazei, closing the loop with over 2000 meters of climbing behind me.
